Three best friends, Jane, Blake, and Nikki were on an epic camping adventure together they had planned for months. A few days into the trip, after some long hikes, they needed to raft down a river to the final camping spot before returning home.

What the girls thought would be a relaxing boat ride, soon turned into a challenge.
The rapids on the river started to become too difficult for the group to navigate, and they lost control.
The boat hit a boulder and Blake and Nikki fell into the river.

When the water calmed down, Jane looked around only to realize her friends were no longer in the boat with her, and the paddles were nowhere to be found.
Ahead of Jane was a dark and mysterious river cave. The current was still too strong for Jane to get out and swim to shore, so she was left with no other option but to continue to flow with the river into the cave.

Jane looked back to see that Blake and Nikki made it safely to land as they watched her enter the mysterious river cave.

The cave got dark very fast as the light behind Jane was fading. The young girl suddenly felt afraid, lonely, and began to cry.

Jane sat in the boat, in complete darkness, not knowing what was going to happen. All of a sudden, she heard a rustling coming from the boat. Through her tears, she asked who was there. A little lizard responded;
“Hello! I heard you crying and wanted to see if you were ok, and if I could help you.”

Jane responded that she was alone and had no light to see. She asked the lizard if she could help find her lantern. "Of course!” the lizard responded, and after a few minutes of rustling around in the bag strapped down to the boat, the lizard pushed the lantern towards Janes hand. The lizard said everything will be ok, then went silent.

Grateful for the lizard, Jane picked up the lantern, but her heart immediately dropped. She sank back into the boat, as she realized she would be unable to use the lantern without any fuel.

The sound of the water started getting louder. Jane grabbed the lantern and braced herself as she began to get tossed around by rapids.

When the water calmed down again, Jane heard another voice. A little bat spoke up and said, “Hello there! I saw you go through those rapids and wanted to see if you were ok, and if I could help.”
Jane said she was alone, with no paddles and no fuel for her lantern. She asked if the he could help find the fuel in her bag. The bat agreed, retrieved the fuel, told her everything will be ok, and then went silent.

Again filled with hope, but still unable to see anything, Jane carefully poured the fuel into the lantern.
