Battery
Definition: a container consisting of one or more cells, in which chemical energy is converted into electricity and used as a source of power.
Batteries are used to power everyday things like phones, remotes, and cars.

Complete Circuit
an uninterrupted path for electrons to flow from an energy source (i.e. battery or household power), through a device and back to the source.
The complete circuit was able to provide power to the house.

A conductor conducts electricity since it offers little or no resistance to the flow of electrons, thus leading to a flow of electrical current.
These are examples of conductors of electricity
Metals are great conductors of electricity.
Conductors of Electricity

Electrical Charge

is a trait or property that comes from electromagnetic forces and fields.
Charlie scoots his feet across the carpet and then touched the doorknob he is shocked.

Electrical Circuit
is a complete path around which electricity can flow
There was a short in the electrical circuit and the light went out on the score board.

Electrical Current
is when electric charges flow from one place to another in a circuit.
When Timmy pressed the power button on the remote the electrical current gave power to the tv and turned it on.

Electrical insulators
are materials with a high resistivity (resistivity is a property of the material) so they can make objects with a high resistance.

Incomplete circuit
Is when the current isn't given a complete path.
The lightbulb didn't turn on because the incomplete circuit couldn't provide power.

Insulators
used to hold conductors in position, separating them from one another and from surrounding structures.
The wires were cover in an insulator to protect the wires from touch other things.

Series and Parallel Circuit
In a series circuit, all parts are connected end-to-end to form a single path for current flow. In a parallel circuit, all components are connected across each other with the same voltage across each component. Series example- holiday lights parallel circuit example - light fixtures that have multiple light bulbs
