Mission Statement
CLSCC is a government-funded program that serves low-income families. Our mission is to provide high-quality childcare to families, regardless of race, gender, or nationalities. In 2012, we started this center in hopes of providing quality and affordable childcare for working parents, and those who may not have access to quality chilcare. Over the last ten years, we have made many accomplishments here. We take pride in making sure our teachers and staff are accredited, maintain professionalism, and partake in ongoing professional devlopment, to meet the needs of your child's development. We continuously monitor our curriculum through research, and make sure it aligns with state standards. We operate as a team and family and community are important to us.

Exclusionary Policy
As always, we strive to create a safe and healthy environment for children to thrive in. In order to do that, children need to be healthy. Upon enrollment, all children should have an up to date immunization record on file in the health office. If your family has a medical or religious exemption, proper documentation needs to be presented and on file. Infectious illnesses are so easily spread from one child to another in group settings. Please help us in promoting wellness during the school year, and if your child develops any of the following illnesses, or signs/symptoms, PLEASE DO NOT SEND/BRING THE CHILD TO SCHOOL:

1. Temperature above 100℉ (If not due to teething)
2. Diarrhea/Vomiting (the child may not return to school for 24 hours after the last episode of diarrhea/vomiting)
3. Lice/ Nits (May not return until cleared by the nurse)
4. Flu-like symptoms
5. Runny nose with temperature 101° F
6. Open skin sores/ rash of undetermined origin (a note from the doctor is required before the child can return to school)
7. Conjunctivitis (pink eye)
8. Impetigo
9. Bronchitis/ Excessive coughing
10. Chickenpox/ Measles/ Mumps
11. Pneumonia/ Croup
12. Ringworm (untreated)
Disciplinary Policy
CSLCC has a strict no corporal punishment rule. We believe that there is no such thing as a 'bad child' and our goal is to assist your child in whatever they are struggling with to get them on the right path. By doing this we participate in conscious discipline training, active supervision, and observation. If your child is exhibiting unwanted behaviors at home and at school we will take the necessary steps in documenting those behaviors, so that can assess to get your child the right and proper help that they need. However, extreme unruly behavior such as harming other children or staff, damaging property, swearing, biting or physical harm, could be subject to you having to come and sit with your child for the day or possibly take them home to calm down. If your child continues to exhibit unwanted behaviors that you and your child's teachers have concerns about, your child may be observed in their classroom setting by a disabilities/ mental health professional and subject to a referral to assist them with getting the help that they need.
Attendance Policy
Hours of Operation
8:00- 3:00 (children)
8:00- 4:30 (staff)
Good attendance is means children are participating in quality early education. This is also a school readiness skill that prepares them for kindergarten that promotes responsibility and punctuality, which are life long skills. Please do your best to have your child here at school everyday and on time. We understand that situations arise so, if you are going to be late please just give us a call and let us know. If the child arrives after 8:10 in the mornings or after 3:10 in the afternoons, you will be subject to fill out a tardy slip each time the child is late whether it is in the morning or in the afternoon. Remember to also sign your child in and out each day during morning drop off and afternoon pick up.
