Thrown Off The Train
Gandhi had been on his way to Pretoria but he seemed to have experienced racial discrimination, which he had never seen before, A white man had objected to Gandhi sitting in the first class compartment because it was reserved for whites only. Gandhi showed him his ticket yet the man opposed it. He argued that colored people were not allowed to travel with whites. The man ordered for Gandhi to be thrown off the train because he refused to go to the third compartment which was where colored people traveled. He was thrown off to Pietermaritzburg Railway Station in South Africa.

Burning The Passes
After Gandhi's experience on the train, he decided to call for a meeting. The Indian community wasn't yet too familiar with him but were willing to listen to what he had to say. He started to collect the registration passes each person had. He began to burn them, but as he did a British soldier began to beat him. But that didn't stop Gandhi he continued burning the passes without hesitation or retaliation. He received the beating because he fought for their rights and for what he thought was right. He had then been taken to jail for the burning of the passes.

State of India
Ghandhi had decided to go on a journey around India to get reappointed with his people. As he traveled through India he had seen a lot of poverty around him. People on the streets, outside, and on the floor. While the British on the other hand seemed to have it all, no struggles. The British would decided how an Indian person would live. Back home Gandhi decided it was best if he lived as the people of India did. People began to come to him for help.

Day of Fasting and Prayer
When the day of fasting and prayer arrived everything had stopped. Gandhi had sent his paper to invite everyone to come fast and pray with him. He wanted to create a Muslim - Hindu unity and this day was perfect for it. This had striked the British since they had no one working and everything stopped functioning. Everyone had decidced to go to the fast and prayer day. Ghandhi had then been arrested again.

Gandhi's Fast
Protests began to take place against the British for it's laws, clothing, and Gandhi. Since he had been arrested the people of India responded with violence and protests. Gandhi was not pleased and wanted the violence to stop. He began to fast until they stopped even if it meant he had to die. As the protestors marched, a group of men were left behind and got beaten by the British soldiers. They began to scream and asked for help. The other protesters stopped and rushed towards the British police and to their base. The British police had been brutally killed, for what they did to these protestors.
