Lifestyle and the customs of tribal groups in the plains:
The Native people lived in nomadic communities. They often farmed crops, hunted buffalo and gathered for food. They had healthy diets because of this. After Spain came to america with horses it became even more popular
to hunt buffalo with the native
people in the plains. The tribes
would move from place to place
following the bison.

Massacre at Wounded Knee:
The wounded knee Massacre was a massacre of nearly 300 Lakota people by the soldiers of the United States Army. This took place in 1890 on December 29th. Some people call this the Battle at Wounded Knee but it wasn't a battle at all, US troops fired on Native people for
little to no reason.
Sitting Bull:
Sitting Bull was a Hunkpapa Lakota leader who led his people in the troubling times and resistance of the United States Westward Expansion. He was both a spiritual and political leader. He was later shot and killed by Indian police officers on Standing Rock reservation in 1890.

Lifestyle of American settlers/American Cowboys and Vaqueros:
The life of American settlers and American Cowboys and Vaqueros were full of long hours, low pay and very little sleep. Vaqueros actually influenced the way that cowboys dressed. They also influenced them by how they were able to train horses so well.
