
Ghandi Thrown Off Train
In 1893 Ghandi was first class on a train in South Africa when one of the train workers told him he wasn't allowed to be in first class even though he had a ticket. He showed him the ticket and said he's a citizen of the British empire but he still wasn't allowed to sit there because he was colored. He was thrown off the train because he refused to move.
Burning The Passes
After seeing all the racial injustice in South Africa Ghandi gathered a group of Indians together to burn government passes. The police didn't like that they were burning government property so they threatened to arrest anyone who burned a pass. Ghandi protested this by continuing to burn the passes right in front of them. The police started beating him but he still kept going until they finally arrested him.

State Of India / Living In An Ashram / Poverty In India
Ghandi arrived back in India in 1915 and sees a lot of poverty. Ghandi takes a train ride across India so he can see what India is really like. He sees mistreatment of Indians from the British people. Someone goes to Ghandi's ashram and tells him that British landlords are controlling a village's farms and rent and Ghandi heads over to try and fix it. He ends up getting arrested but in the end he got them a rebate and control over their farms.
Day Of Fasting And Prayer / General Strike / Amritsar Massacre
The British passed a new law that allowed them to arrest anyone in possession of Ghandi's writings without a warrant. Ghandi planned a strike throughout all of India on the day the law was set to be passed and he would sell his writings. The plan worked and he was arrested for selling his writings. A peaceful crowd of Indians gathered in Amritsar and people were giving speeches. Then a military leader came in with his troops and began to shoot at them even though they were doing nothing illegal and many Indians were killed.

Protesters / Police Killed / Ghandi's Fast
During a protest police began beating a couple of protesters that were farther behind the rest. In return the protesters chased down the police burned down the police station then slaughtered the police. After hearing about this Ghandi decided to fast until everyone in India stopped rebelling because he felt like he caused this. The fast ended up working and ended all the violence and protests.
March to Sea / Salt Tax / Raid On Dharasana Salt works
To make a stand against the British Ghandi decided to march to the sea and make sand which was illegal to do in India. While marching over a huge crowd followed Ghandi. The British decided to do nothing about Ghandi but after Ghandi made salt a lot of people began making salt. After more and more people were selling salt the British started stopping them and raided Dharasana Salt Works and beat a huge crowd of Indians.
