As I walked outside, everyone ran their separate ways. I did not like being the new kid. Then all of sudden three girls from my class walked up to me.

I do know how to play a little but If you do not mind I would like to play.

I was very happy that my classmates had invited me to play soccer with them. I was starting to make new friends.

We are going to play against another class. You can be goalie, all you have to do is stop the ball from getting in the net.

My day was becoming a great day. At this moment I felt so happy and I was glad that I was no longer feeling like the new kid. I was fitting in with everyone else.

All of sudden I hear Ms. Jones yell, "Ms. Jones class let's go recess is over!" Just in those few seconds that turned and looked at Mrs. Jones, the other team made a goal.

Oh NO!

One of my teammate named Angel was very upset. Angel was so upset that he was being so mean to me. He made me feel so horrible. I tried to explain to him that I got distracted when I heard Ms. Jones calling our class but that did not matter to Angel.

I am sorry Angel. I didn't mean for us to lose.

WOW! Great job Grace! You made our class lose the game. We wanted a goalkeeper not a goal sleeper.
