Down in a small town called Pleasant View, Stripy had promised on Thursday that he'd teach Blacky how to fish. On Friday, Blacky reminded Stripy about his promise. "Stripy, didn't you tell me that you would teach me how to fish?" asked Blacky. Stripy looked puzzled at first. "...oh yah! sorry li'l bro, I must have forgot." said Stripy. After breakfast, Stripy got 2 fishing poles and headed outside. Mrs. Dbo, (their owner) was making chicken pot pie for lunch while Mr. Barry headed off to work. Mrs. Dbo and Mr. Barry had a pond, so Stripy and Blacky were lucky to have a place to fish. Stripy began to speak. "So, Blacky, you first throw your cord into the pond, then when you feel your stick moving, you roll this lever
and pull it out! Got that?" asked Stripy. Blacky nodded.

They fished for 30 whole minutes! Stripy had caught 4 fish, in contrast, Blacky didn't catch anything. Blacky looked sad. "Hey Blacky! Don't feel sad, I was a beginner too, once. I didn't get one raddle on my stick! You have had 3 raddles on your stick, so you are doing much better than when I was a starter. Here, I can help you catch a fish." Said Stripy, trying to encourage him. So, Stripy watched the water and helped Blacky. When Blacky got a raddle, Stripy helped him at first, but Blacky got SO focused that Stripy had let go and he didn't even know about it!
After 40 minutes had past, Blacky had caught a HUGE fish! Mrs. Dbo saw that, so, she took a picture of them with the fish. Blacky let it go so the fish could enjoy the water.

After fishing, they played hide in seek. Blacky hid at first. Stripy began counting. "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7...." Blacky scrambled off into the house. Mrs. Dbo let him hide in the cabinets. Stripy couldn't find Blacky. After 50 minutes, Stripy yelled, "Okay! I give up! You are the better hider! This is not a trick!" Blacky came out. Stripy hid the next round. Blacky began to call, "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7..." Stripy scrambled into the house. He hid in the same spot that Blacky was in. After Blacky stopped counting, he ran to the spot he had hid earlier.
"Found you!" he called. After hide-in-seek, they played Frisbee, hopscotch, and ring around the rosy.

To top it all off before lunch, the boys went in the boat and strolled through the pond. Stripy knew how to oar but Blacky did not. After they got in the middle, Stripy' s arms were tired. They had fun...until a dark storm rolled in. "Boys! Come in the house! Thunder and lightning out!" called Mrs. Dbo. Stripy' s arm was weak and tired, so Blacky had to oar! Blacky oared the wrong way and was farther from the dock! "The other way!" called Stripy. Blacky got it right and went to the dock. it started raining hard. Mrs. Dbo came out and began tying the boat to the dock.
The boys rushed into the house. They were a muddy mess! "Into the tub!" called Mrs. Dbo, as she rushed in the door afterwards.
