Once upon a time, in the land of Equestria,
there lived a very cheerful pony named Petal Shine.
Petal Shine was a very darling pegasus who loved growing
flowers.
All around her, flowers bloomed and grew.

Her mother, Hibiscus, was a kind mother.
However, she was quite frail. She got sick
often, and it was Petal Shine and her father's
duty to care for her.

One day, while Petal Shine was getting
ready for school, her mother called her into
the kitchen to speak with her.

"My darling Petallu," She said, "I hope
today is the best one of all for you.
Don't let anyone tease you for having
no cutie mark. You're beautiful no
matter what.

And with that, Petal Shine was off to school. She was
happy to be going through her usual path through the
ponyville meadow. She hurried as fast as her little legs
could take her around each and every flower, taking care
not to harm any, especially the roses.

Once she reached inside the class,
their teacher began to speak of
their mid-spring projects.
"You are all to come up with
something to help the community
by the end of the lunar cycle."
Petal Shine knew just what to do!

Petal Shine took the idea of making her own flower
shop to her father, smiling happily. Her father, Trick
Board, nodded in agreement.
"That's a great idea!" He exclaimed. "Why don't
you tell it to your teacher??"

When Petal Shine took her idea to the teacher, she
couldnt help but laugh. She then looked at her.
"Darling, you're a pegasus! Stick with the weather, it's
what your kind knows best. Your mother may be a
gardener but she's frail, and does weed pulling at
best." Petal shine was heartbroken.

Her friend, Animal Paw, laughed as well.
"The teacher is right, you SHOULD focus
on something with the weather!" Petal
Shine felt so ashamed, why were they
doubting her ideas?
