Great Victoria Desert

The Great Victoria Desert is Australia's largest desert at around 422,466 km2. Since it's so huge, it stretches across Western Australia and South Australia.
The desert gets only about 15 to 25 centimeters of rain each year.
Summer days are blistering in the Great Victoria Desert, averaging around 37.6 °C in the hottest months. Winter is between June and August and maximum temperatures average between 20.4 and 22.7°C with overnight minimums averaging between 5.5 and 7.1°C.
You might think that all deserts are scorching hot and very sandy but, there are actually four different types of deserts, hot and dry, semi arid, coastal deserts and cold deserts, one of the cold deserts is actually the biggest in the world the, Antarctica desert.
The Sahara Desert

The Sahara desert got it's name from an Arabic word which is Al-Ṣaḥrāʾ al-Kubrā it means "The Great Desert".
The Sahara desert became dry 13,000 years ago when the rainfall stopped.
The sand dunes can reach up to 180 meters in height
The Sahara Desert is the world's largest hot desert located in north Africa spanning from Mauritania to Sudan which is 9,200,000 km2
There are a few animals that live in the Sahara including, the monitor lizard, camels, foxes and gazelles.
Mt Kosciuszko

Not all mountains are snowy in fact, Mt Kosciuszko is snowy from June to October but dry from November to May.
Mt Kosciuszko is the tallest mountain peak in mainland Australia at 2,228M tall
Mt Kosciuszko is between 355 and 490 million years old, which is no were near the oldest mountain in the world.
In 1840 a man by the name of Paul Edmund de Strzelecki named Mt Kosciuszko after a Polish patriot named Tadeusz Kosciuszko.
Mt Everest

Out of every mountain in the world this one is a stand out from the rest it is one of the most famous mountains in the world.
Mt Everest is the tallest mountain in the world (Elevation) standing at a whopping 8848 meters tall that is just below a cruising altitude of a jumbo jet.
Mount Everest grows approximately 4.4 centi-meters every year.
Mt Everest is over 60 million years old.
Mt Everest is apart of the Himalayas in Asia.
It takes a staggering 2 moths in the ice cold to climb Mt Everest to the top.
