July 26, 253 A.D

Dear Diary,

Today is a new day and a new year. Today is always an exciting day. I have heard rumors of lots of celebrations, good food, ceremonies, and a lot of other stuff. The priests all did the chants and prayers. After that, we all went and ate good food, played games, and danced. On a normal day, we would have been hard at work. New Year's Day is always the best day of the year because we get a break from our work, and get to celebrate. 

                                                                       July 27, 253 A.D

Dear Diary,

My dad convinced me to learn how to farm. I thought that it wasn't going to be hard, but it was VERY HARD! I was sweating in the first 10 minutes of trying. I don't know how farmers can do this all day! I tried and tried, for hours and hours, but nothing happened. I decided that I had enough farming work for one day. I 'll go back to the house and take some rest for tomorrow.

                                                                       July 28, 253 A.D

Dear Diary,

Today was a day that was both fun and hard. I learned about the different types of plants that we grew. I learned about beans, squash, corn, and more. It was interesting to see how each plant was different from the rest. Some of the plants grew taller than me. The farmers thought that I was overeacting, but this was my first time in the fields.

                                                                       July 29, 253 A.D

Dear Diary,

I did it! I finally reached the day in my life when I can learn how to make hot chocolate. I have eaten the chocolate a few times, but it didn't always taste the best. Hot chocolate tastes even better. The farmers and I went out to the cocoa plants the gather some cocoa beans. I later used the beans to make hot chocolate, which tastes SO GOOD!

                                                              July 30, 253 A.D

Dear Diary,

Today was probably the scariest day of my life. I had to capture some animals for our farm. Usually, some of the farmers would have to do it. I was forced to do it today. As expected, the animals started to chase me, and I ran for my life. I will try to catch one tomorrow, but I don't think I will be ready tomorrow. Oh, well. We'll see tomorrow.

Dear Diary,

I decided that capturing animals wasn't my thing. However, I was always curious about the lost temples. I decided to go take a look. As I stepped in, I heard the floor creaking, the roof shaking, and other creepy sounds. Then suddenly, I fell! I think I hurt my arm badly. Can't... write... anymore...
