Where I live
Hello. It is currently night time and right now I am writing this after just praying to my family members that just passed away. He was my uncle Apichu. You might be asking how we honor the dead. We honor the dead much more than most people. People who die are treated like living people. They are fed, have money, and hold power. The people of Inca believe that the afterlife and the regular world are connected and people from the dead can influence the world.

Hola, otra vez (hello again) Today I will talk about my family and cooperation! In Inca society family is a very big thing. We do everything together even farming. Even the words for cousins and siblings, uncles and dad, and mom and aunt are the same! The basic core of Inca is cooperation. If one of us gets too tired or sick to continue farming another person will take over. With this system of bonding and cooperation, it is less likely for rebellions or fights.

My family farming

Hello. Today I will describe our agriculture and farming. We are known across the land for our farming. This is because we have such a special way of doing it. Since we live on the sides of mountains we don’t have good soil or enough room to farm so we make levels of farming. We built terraces and on each step or terrace a crop is farmed. We did this so we could safely farm crops and a lot of them. We have an irrigation system that trickles water down from the top of the terraces to the bottom so we don’t even have to water.

Terrace farming
Hello again. Nothing has been going on lately so I will describe our technology. One big thing is how we get around our empire. First, we have built huge bridges that connect the mountains. Second, we have carved out paths that lead us from the ground up to our mountains. The paths are zig-zags that it makes it easier for us walk up and down. Another thing we have is the way we make our houses and buildings. We carve out stone brickes in such a way that when we fit them together you can’t even get a sword blade between them.

It is almost the end of another year so I will end this year with talking about Incan achievements. One is that we have discovered a way to operate on people who have fragments of bone in their heads. It is very painful, but they still live. Music is a very big part of our culture. We use panpipes, flutes, drums, and other instruments to play our music. One last thing is our clothing. The women who create our clothing put very intricate designs on them. Of course our terrace farming is another achievment and so is living on a literal rock.
