Hey guys, my name is Kit. Today, with my friend Kat, we'll talk about WW1.

Hello! I'm Kat. As Kit said, we'll learn together the most important things of this super big war, let's get started!

So for a long time, all the countries in Europe have been mad at each other, 

and everyone thought that they were the best; so they 

started building weapons. 

Nevertheless, they started to make friendships: France, Great Britain, and Russia, and later the USA, became Best Friends; same as Germany and Austria.

But what happened after that?

Our friend Franz Ferdinand was bullied in Serbia because he was really mean to the people. Then, Austria declared war on Serbia, because he was the crown prince. And Russia came to help their best friend.

Since everyone had their own group of friends to help and defend, all countries joined the war one after the other. As Austria declares war on Serbia, Russia has to defend her by attaching Austria. Austria's best friend, Germany, will help her attack Russia, which will be defended by France and England; and by the 28th July 1914 most European countries were in conflict with each other. 

Everybody joins the war, except the United States. Why? They didn't like to fight with their old friends. Anyway, they decided to help a little bit with their favorites: England and France. But, there's a problem: Germany. German people don't like the United States, and they want to attack them. To do it, they will send a secret message, called "the Zimmerman Telegram", to Mexico. 

Let's see what happened...

"Hey Mexico, I heard you have a problem with the U.S., since they stole your land. We can help you get it back, if you help us attack them. "

"Of course, we hated them for a long time, and we want to get our land back! We'll help you, Germany."

But the British stole the message and gave it to the U.S.
