In the small coastal town of Fastwater, Florida, the biggest high school in town was called Bright Horizons High School.

This high school specializes in sports, they've won many championships in their history, particularly in track. They go to state every year!

The athletes from this school are some of the best at sports in the whole country, but they're also the best at showing off, bullying their opponents, and making the other small schools in town look like chumps.

My high school, Creakwood High, would never stand a chance against any of Bright Horizons' stars. They even had to build a hospital next to my school because of how often our players get hurt!

He's also a very unsportsmanlike player. Anytime he races any of us from Creakwood High, he calls us names like "slow" and "easy competition". He's even cheated before and pushed me off the track, but no one saw it!

This is Scott "Speed" Simmons from Bright Horizons High. He's won more championships than anyone in town by a mile, thus why he got the nickname "Speed". 

Then there's me, little Ben Brewster. I'm just an ordinary student here at Creakwood High School, but I want to make history and be the first to dethrone Scott Speed! I'm going to have to work hard, follow rules, and play fair to truly win.

I don't know the steps I need to take to be a better version of myself on track, every time I've tried to beat Scott "Speed" on my own, I always lose. I'm going to need some help, but who would be there to help? I later saw Coach Rodriguez and told him about my plan.
