This book is dedicated to Amelia Earhart, who always had a tale to tell.
Amelia Earhart became a record-breaking female pilot whose popularity boosted the future of aviation and paved the path for other women in commercial flight.

I was born in Kansas, on July 24, 1897. I was always drawn by the world around me as I grew up. Nothing truly caught my attention like the sight of birds soaring through the sky. Their beauty spoke to me, a longing to know the freedom they enjoyed.

I recall the year 1918 as if it were yesterday. I had just graduated from junior college, full of hopes and goals of making a difference in the world. I decided to work as a nurse's aide in Toronto, dedicating myself to assisting those in need. I had no idea that this decision would impact my entire future!

Destiny appeared once more in 1928, offering me a great opportunity. Promoters were looking for a female pilot who was willing to fly across the wide Atlantic Ocean. Surprisingly, I was chosen for the historic journey.

When April arrived, I was a passenger on a plane piloted by the excellent Wilmer Stultz and Louis Gordon. Our journey was full of hope and joy. My life changed forever the moment we touched down in Wales. I rose to worldwide fame as a lady who pushed tradition and flew over the skies.

Another major event took place in 1932. I set off on my own trip, becoming the first woman to fly solo across the North American continent and back.

Following this daring adventure, I wrote and published "The Fun of It" in 1932, a book that reflected both my life and my love of flying. The world loved it, and I served as an inspiration to many.
I had a dream that flew above the clouds. Together with my navigator, Fred Noonan, we planned to circle the globe and become the first pilots to do so.

The adventure began in 1937 in Miami, where we rose to the sky. We were ready to reach every mile of this journey. From Miami through South America, Africa, and India, we faced many challenges.
But my dedication remained strong.
Guess what? I was scared as we flew over the Pacific Ocean toward Howland Island! We were past the point of no return. This was unfamiliar ground for both people and planes. I could feel the weight on my shoulders, as the sun set on that memorable day.
