You make me so happy!

In the small town of Happyville, there lived a big, brown, dog named Echo. He lived with his mommy, his daddy, his brother, and his sister. He was very, very happy with his life until one day...

Daddy said they were going to have a family meeting. Usually, they talked about things like chores or fun ideas that might intrest them, but not this time. This time, they were not talking about anything like that. "Echo, yesterday we got a letter from a really good boarding school in Bananaton called Long Tail Skippy Academy and they are offering you a spot. We've already made plans for you to go."

Echo started to cry. He didn't want to leave. "How long will I be gone for?" Echo asked mommy. "1 year." She said. Echo cried even more. "A whole year!" Echo cried. "I'm sorry Echo. I promise you will love it though. We will call you every night. Your flight leaves tomorrow. Get a good rest."

The next day, Echo left for the airport and took a seat inside the airplane. It was a long, long trip. Finally, after hours of traveling, he arrived in Bananaton. He called a taxi to pick him up and take him to Long Tail Skippy Academy.

When Echo got to the school, he went to his dorm, number 85. He took a good look at his dorm, and saw a dog inside. "Hi roomie! I'm Sandy, from down under! What's you name?" Echo was shy. "um, Echo," he mumbled. "Don't be shy. I promise you will love this school," she said. I hope so, Echo thought.

Sandy showed Echo through the hall and to the math room. he looked at all the dogs. They exchanged weird and unhappy glances at him. Clearly they didn't like having a new dog at their school. He didn't blame them.

3+1=?

In math class, the dogs didn't stop giving him weird and unhappy glances. The only thing he could do was ignore them. "Hello class! my name is Mr. Goodie O. Gollie Grin. call me Mr. Gollie for short."

3+1=89

3+1=

3+1=

"Hi Mr. Gollie!" the whole class said. "Now, lets get started! everyone in here knows how to add, right," he asked. "Yes Mr. Gollie!" they all said. Echo didn't know how to add. He got a little nervous. "Great! this should be easy then. Were going to figure out what 3+1 is. please take out a piece of paper." After a few moments of adding, they figured out what it was. "Would anyone like to give me the answer?" Mr. Gollie asked. Echo raised his paw."89?" he asked. Mr. Gollie frowned. "Wrong, it was 4." everyone laughed at Echo.

PE was even worse than math. Unfortionly, they were playing dodge ball! Echo got hit 27 times. He wished they could play duck duck goose or tag.

Art class was miserable! There art teacher, Ms. Sketch was teaching them how to draw a tree, but Echo's tree looked like a blob! Even worse, Ms. Sketch made him show it in front of the whole class! Once again, everyone laughed at Echo.

Finally, after a terrible, terrible first day of school, Sandy and Echo bought ice cream cones and ate them while watching the sunset. "Today was terrible!" complained Echo. "I'm not going to lie, I wasn't a fan of it either," said Sandy. "But everything will get better soon."

Football tryouts tomorrow!
You should tryout!
-Sandy

They got home late at night. "Echo, I have a present for you," she said, handing him a thin present. It looked like there was a paper inside. It was wrapped in a tropical leave wrapping paper and a pink bow. Echo opened it. inside was a flyer that read...

The next day, Echo went to the football tryouts like Sandy said he should do. He saw a ton of other dogs there, all wearing football helmets, like him. They had to do running, push ups, passing, takling, kicking, and more push ups. Then finally they were split into two teams. So far, Echo's team was losing. A dog came rushing in."Sorry I'm late, coach. Can I still tryout?" She said out of breath. Coach slowly nodded. "That team," he said, pointing to Echo's team. She sprinted over to them.

The dog was amazing! She sprinted so fast, could catch the ball so well, and through the football across the whole field. After the tryouts he ran over to her. "Hi there! I'm Echo! You were fantastic out there!" he said."Thanks, I'm Margo by the way," she said. "Nice to meet you," said Echo.
