Dedication Page:
To Mom and Dad

Gary is 13 years old. He lives in a small, rural town with his Mom, Dad, and sister.

Gary loves to watch cooking videos. He wants to be a chef when he grows up.

But, there are no grocery stores in Gary’s community. There is only fast food restaurants. Because of this, Gary’s parents only get fast food for dinner and Gary cannot cook with quality ingredients.

When Gary talks to his friends about this problem, he finds out that others in the community suffer from the lack of healthy foods.

.

While doing research, they find that their community suffers from obesity and health problems due to all of the fast food they consume

They also find out that the lack of grocery stores is due to the lack of population density in their community. The government says that places with less people require less resources.
Gary and his friends feel very sad from this problem and want to do something to fix it.

They want grocery stores with healthy food to be built in their community, but they know that it will be hard to get their voices out there.

Gary and his friends brainstorm various ideas to fix the problem.

Finally, they land on an idea. They decide to make a social media account to bring awareness to the issue.

The account’s purpose is to raise awareness and say that population density in a community should not be a reason for their lack of healthy foods.

Over time, the account continues to grow and more people fight to get grocery stores built in the community.

Finally, the Mayor takes notice and builds an affordable grocery store with healthy food right in the middle of the community.

The community is overjoyed and excited to eat healthier and have access to different foods.
