Title: Let’s Write an Ekphrastic Poem
Short Description:The aim of this project is for students to share their ideas, impressions and perspectives with students from other countries, to be open-minded and tolerant towards other cultures, to research and write works of visual art in collaboration with other students, to use the English language for an engaging and meaningful poetic experience collaboratively. This project also aims at increasing the interest in art and literature in our students and their environment by using it.
Students will focus on writing poetry throughout the year. Firstly, students will write a poem about a work of art from their home country. Secondly, they will write a poem about their international fellow students’ country. Thirdly, students will write an acrostic poem about a work of art that they will choose together with the whole team.
We will all work collaboratively on the project. In our project, we will make joint products and collaborative products with the team. We will decide on these activities together. With our project, our students will have the opportunity to get to know and promote both their own and other cultures through a work of art. Regarding the final products, we plan to have joint acrostic poetry, joint calendar, news writing, game making, poster making, choosing logo and slogan, making video, taking photos, an eBook, etc.
