The Jacobs family was a family of four — Jonny, the father, Katherine, the mother, and two boys James and Sam. James was 12 years old and Sam was 9 years old.
It was nearing Christmas, and Katherine had asked her boys to make a Christmas list for Santa.
The main thing the two boys had wished for was Pokémon trading cards. Sam wanted them exceptionally bad.

¨It's almost Christmas boys, you both better start making a list for Santa!¨
¨I WANT POKÉMON CARDS!¨

Later that month, James and Sam were both in bed on Christmas Eve trying their hardest to fall asleep to see if Santa would bring them each Pokémon cards for Christmas.
¨I am just so excited to see if Santa brought us Pokémon cards,¨ said Sam.
¨So am I,¨said James

Sam, I am so excited for the morning!¨

¨So am I¨
It was a cold, snowy Christmas morning around 5 a.m. when the Jacobs family began opening their presents.
James had finished opening all of his presents, and there was no sign of any Pokémon cards for him.
On the other hand, Sam was just about to be done opening his presents when he opened his last one, and there it was Pokémon cards.

¨YES!!!¨

Sam was so excited about his new gift from Santa that he went back to his room and spent all day long playing with his cards.
James was very upset about the fact that he did not receive any Pokémon cards from Santa, even though he had asked for some.
So, James spent most of the rest of the day sitting back watching his brother, Sam, play with his Pokémon cards.

Eventually, James became frustrated with watching his younger brother have so much fun while playing with the cards he too had wished for.
James decided to ask Sam if he could play with his cards with him.
Sam listened to James´ question but ended up telling him that he wanted to play with the cards himself and that they were his.

¨Sam, can we please play with the cards together?¨
¨But they are mine.¨
James is very upset that he is not able to play with any of Sam´s cards.
¨I really can´t play with any of them for a little bit¨, said James.
Sam replied, ¨No, the cards are mine.¨
James replied, ¨This is why I don´t like you Sam, you can never share anything!¨

¨!@#$%^@#$!#@¨

¨!@#$%!@#$¨
Katherine overhears the boys arguing and demands to know what is going on.
¨Hey! What is going on you two?!¨
James replied, ¨Sam is hogging all of the Pokémon cards and will not let me play with any of them.¨
Sam said, ¨But Mom, they are my cards, not his.¨

¨Hey! What is going on you two?!¨
Sam won´t share his cards with me!¨
¨Because they are my cards, mom.¨
After hearing the boy's explanations, Katherine decides the best decision is to take the boys to their father to have him settle the dispute.
¨You know what? Both of you come with me, your father will settle this once and for all¨, said Katherine.
Both of the boys replied, ¨But mom...¨
