In a bustling city, a student named Mei felt prepared for one of the biggest changes in her life. She would try to get into a school deemed Harmony United, a place where everyone of all backgrounds could could and learn about the wonders of the world. In this place Mei knew she could explore what interested her.

Mei, being passionate and confident in her studies, was excited at the opportunity to attend Harmony United. Mei arriving on campus was shocked to see a protest, people rallying at a cause. Noticing her best friend also being in the protest she asked as to what this was all about.
Nancy, Mei’s best friend, started to tell her that this school was not allowing a specific group of people into the college due to where they came from, rather than their studies and grades. She explained that thousands of students lost the opportunity at studies due to the admissions process of the school going against them.
Mei, shocked by such news, rallied behind this group of people, believing rather than discriminating based on background it should be based on academics as those who studied and worked the hardest might never get in.
“does not explicitly prioritize any particular racial group over any other”
The rally would gather so much support from others it would gather the principal of the school’s attention, giving a statement saying that admission program
This would do little to quench such efforts as there was evidence that shows that other students of different places of birth were being favored more.
Mei understood that this issue was bigger than her and brought this issue up with the courts, those who could fairly and justly decide if the school was truly discriminating against them.
Mei, nervous as the court would decide if their cause was just, waited as the court would convene amongst themselves.
