Maya lived in a bright, busy town where everyone played, worked, and laughed together.
But one day, she noticed something strange…
Some kids had big sandwiches, while others had none at all.

Maya frowned. “That’s not fair,” she said.
Her teacher told the class,
“Everyone deserves what they need, like food, safety, kindness, and a chance to be happy.”
Maya learned there’s a word for this: human rights.

Sometimes, the way things were built such as schools, rules, and even neighborhoods,
made life harder for some people and easier for others.
“That’s not fair either!” Maya said.

So Maya decided to become a Helper,
just like a social worker.
Helpers try to make sure everyone is treated with respect,
no matter who they are or where they come from.

Maya gathered her friends and said,
“Let’s make a Big Fairness Blanket!”
“It will cover our town with fairness, kindness, and justice.”
Her friends cheered.

They stitched patches onto the blanket:
 A blue patch for every kid being safe.
 A green patch for clean air and parks for everyone.
 A purple patch for speaking up when something is unfair.
 A red patch for sharing power and helping everyone have a voice.

Maya and her friends wrapped the Big Fairness Blanket around their community.
They helped families find food,
spoke up when someone was being treated unfairly,
and made sure everyone was invited to play and learn.

Soon, the town felt warmer.
People shared more.
They listened to each other.
They worked together to make things better
not just for some people, but for everyone.

Maya smiled.
“Fairness isn’t something we wait for,” she said.
“It’s something we make by being brave, kind, and speaking up.”
