In the town of Careville, there was a doctor named Dr. Bee. But to see Dr. Bee, you needed tickets. A lot of tickets!

Milo and his little sister, Lina, lived with their mom in a small house. One day, Lina got a fever.
Oh no... let's go tell Mom.
I'm not feeling well... I feel very tired, my stomach hurts, and I have a fever.

Mom, Lina has a fever. Maybe we should see Dr. Bee.

Mom checks her pockets. She only has one ticket left, but she still has to buy food for dinner. She is worried that they don't have enough tickets. So she tells Lina:
Try to get more sleep tonight... maybe you will feel better tomorrow.
Okay, Mom.

The next morning....
Do you feel better, Lina?
No, I feel worse, Mom.

Oh no... okay, let's go try to see Dr. Bee.

But when they got to the hospital, the helper at the desk said:
You need 20 tickets to see Dr. Bee!

Milo’s mom checked again if she has tickets...

I only have one more ticket... and I still have food to buy!

Sorry... you can only see Dr. Bee if you have enough tickets...

So Lina could not see Dr. Bee, and they all left...

Mom, what are we going to do now? Lina is still sick!
Let's try going to the free clinic...

The clinic was very busy... with many cars parked outside, but Lina needed help.
Okay kids, let's go!
Inside the clinic, Mom met the nurse.

Hi! How can I help you?

Hi! My daughter is sick. I only have one ticket left. Can you help us?

Yes, of course. However, the wait is five hours long to see our doctor.

Sure, we can wait. Please put us on the waiting list.
Mom does not have a choice so she says:

Sorry Lina, we have to wait... the clinic is very busy today.

So they waited... and waited...
Okay, Mom.

5 hours later... Lina got to see the doctor.
No worries. Please just help my daughter!
Hello, I'm Dr. Kate! Sorry about the wait! We've been very busy lately.

After talking to Lina, Dr. Kate gave her the medication to help her feel better.
Thank you, Dr. Kate!

Here's your medicine! This should help you feel better!

Milo could not believe how long that took for his sister to get the help she needed. So he asked Dr. Kate..
Thank you for helping my sister... but that took a really long time! Is there any way she could get help sooner next time?

This is a great question, Milo! We are working on opening a new clinic so we can help more families who have few tickets... but we still need approval from our mayor, Mr. Rick.

Milo thought about this conversation on the way home.

Mom... I want to help our community open another free clinic.
We can try gathering the community and talk to Mr. Rick, Milo!
Milo gathered the people in his community so they could try to get Mr. Rick to approve for another free clinic.

Everyone, let's try to get Mr. Rick to open another free clinic so more people can get the medical help they need, even if they do not have a lot of tickets!
