This is Sprout. Sprout is a germ and we want to do all we can to keep him out! Germs are tiny little microorganisms that can live anywhere. They can live in our bodies, on our toys, outside on the playground. Germs can spread and grow and make us sick. We want to protect ourselves from germs like Sprout. So here are some great ways to keep Sprout OUT!

The last thing you want to do is let Sprout in, because the first thing he will do is bring lots of
friends. Germs grow
really fast. Let one tiny Sprout in and your body will quickly be hosting millions of his small friends. Keep Sprout OUT!

Do not ever put toys in your mouth. Not only have you just invited a whole bunch of Sprouts to come inside your body, you are also leaving a whole bunch of Sprouts out for your friends to come in contact with. Remember-we want to keep Sprout out-out of our bodies and our friends bodies. We want our classroom to be happy, healthy, and safe. Keeping toys and objects away from our mouth is a great way to keep Sprout out!

Sprout is hiding in so many places! Keep toys out of your mouth!

Keep Sprout out!

When you have a boo boo, it is especially important to keep Sprout out! Make sure to cover your boo boo with a bandaid. When there is a cut on your
skin it is really
easy for Sprouts
to get in. A
bandaid is a
great way to keep Sprout out and keep you and your friends safe. A grown up will clean your boo boo and take great care, all we need you to do is leave your bandaid on so you don't share. Keep Sprout out!

Sprouts love to try and get out! Their favorite way to get out of you is through a cough or a sneeze, so cover them up, pretty please. The best way to cover those Sprouts up is with a tissue, but when you don't have one, cough or sneeze in your elbow. Covering your cough or sneeze keeps those Sprouts from spreading all over. Cough into a tissue and throw it away-and you will keep lots of Sprouts from spreading out. Keep Sprout out!

Whatever you do, please do not pick your nose. The second you do-Sprout is jumping in and he quickly grows. One Sprout becomes 10 and 10 becomes 100 and before your know it, thousands of Sprouts are turning your nose into a den, all because you let one tiny one in. Keep Sprout Out!
And that finger that let one little Sprout in,
now spreads Sprouts all over the clean
classroom. Everything you touch leaves a
trail of Sprouts.
Remember, keep Sprout OUT!
