Ms. Bland's commitment to me, starts by embracing and implementing the ethical code of conduct produced by the NAEYC!

Why is that important many of us want to know?

Ms. Bland says because following the code will help us all learn and grow.  She says by understanding her ethical responsibilities she is able to commit to helping us reach all our great capabilities.

Ms. Bland says her #1 responsibility is to the children-her students-us.   She says she will always provide a classroom that is safe, healthy, nurturing, and supportive.  She will teach in a calm and loving manner, and never fuss. 

Ms. Bland says to be a good teacher she has to continue to study and learn so she stays informed on how to best help our development.  Continuing her own education is another way to show us her commitment. 

Ms. Bland says she always appreciates and honors our unique abilities.  She will also observe and assess us so she can use the right teaching strategies.  Helping us to achieve our best is her favorite quest. 

Our favorite thing Ms. Bland likes to say is "In this class, we learn through play."  She says she will always follow Developmentally Appropriate Practice and be our biggest advocate.
