Do you like chocolate chips? Do you like pumpkin? DO YOU LIKE MUFFINS??
Well, guess what!! We are going to bake some pumpkin muffins!!
I'm not sure if we should add chocolate chips though.... should we???

Chocolate chips are REALLY GOOD, but I don't know if we should add them into our pumpkin muffins yet....
How about we first make our batter and then decide later!
The first step in making muffins is to get out a BIG BOWL, a whisk, measuring cups and spoons! We are also going to need some cupcake pans, cupcake liners, and baking spray! AND an OVEN!
We have to get out all of our ingredients as well!

- 1 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cups of pumpkin puree
- 2/3 cups of water
- 3 1/2 cups of flour
- 4 teaspoons of cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of ginger
- 2 teaspoons of nutmeg
- 1/2 a teaspoon of cloves
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
- 2 teaspoons of baking soda
We are going to need ...
and maybe 1 1/2 cups of chocolate chip?? MAYBE..

All of these ingredients are going to make our muffins SO GOOD.
In our big mixing bowl, we are going to add our sugar, brown sugar, and eggs and mix mix mix until they're all combined!
Then we will add our oil, pumpkin puree, and water into the bowl and mix mix mix with our whisk, until it is all together!
Make sure you are using the right measurements! I sometimes get confused with my teaspoons and tablespoons!

Then in our big bowl, we are going to add our flour, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, salt, and baking soda!
Why do we have to add baking soda??
Baking soda helps baked goods RISE, lifting up all of our mixture and batter so it can be big and fluffy - almost like a cake! If we don't add baking soda then our muffins would be super flat and dense - opposite of cakey!

The last step in making our muffins is getting our muffin pans out, adding cupcake liners and spraying a little bit of baking spray onto them so our batter doesn't stick to the cupcake liners!
Then we have to turn our oven to 350 degrees, then just add our batter to the pans.......
WAIT!!
Are we forgetting something???
