To those who are forever young

A long time ago, there was a 4th grader in one Mrs.May's class. Her name was Mella Eurphy. She had two brothers, Mevon and Mai. Mevon was older, he had just entered middle school, and Mai was in 2nd grade.

Mella also had the friendliest neighbors. Their son was also in her school, he was a grade older. This kids name was Mill Wunley. He also had a sister who Mella was friends with; Mmanada.

Mella's older brother, Mevon, was close friends with Mill. They would often play basketball together. Also, they played manhunt with the neighbors on weekends.

In Mella's 4th grade class, she had many friends with whom she would hang out. She also had a very fun teacher who taught them a lot and was obsessed with owls.

On February 16, 2017, Mella took the bus to school with her younger brother, Mai. On the bus, she sat with her friend Pally, who was in 3rd grade. Pally lived in their neighborhood and they would hnagout often.

When Mella got to school, she walked down the hallway to Mrs.May's class with the Owl sticker on the door. When she got there, she hung up her backpack with everyone else's and took her seat.

Mella sat in Mrs.May's class next to her friend Hackson. They had been in the same classes since 1st grade. They often talked a lot and sometimes even got in trouble.

Mrs.May would always start their lesson with a fun story in this class! She would often talk about past classes or show a funny video!

On that same day, Mella's teacher told them a story of a snow day many years ago. The class was excited as they predicted today to be full of snow. The class buzzed with the idea of an early dismissal.

Would that same story become a reality for them?
From that point on, it was a seemingly ordinary day. They had their story, learned maths and English, and talked.
Usually, their school would grant their students with outdoor recess, but not today. The students had to have indoor recess that day instead because of how cold it was.

Instead of running outside, Mella and her friends played board games. They also listened to music that the teacher put on and did dance videos.

While indoor recess was in play, Mella and the other students ran to the window. When their young eyes peered over the ledge, they saw flurries falling from the sky. The flurries soon picked up into heavy snow pellets.

The children all started jumping up and down excitedly, hoping for an early dismissal. Their teacher dismissed this idea many times, but they were persistent. They all wanted to run home and play in the snow.

The children had forgotten about their elaborate plan. That was until children were being called down to the office. It seemed like their parents were scared of the heavy snowfall.

Mella could feel the mood in the classroom shift. The class went from playful and fun to nervous and scared. The students feared the snow would be so bad they'd be stuck forever.

After wishing and waiting to leave, the school made an announcement. They stated that no one could leave the school due to the harsh weather outside in the blistering cold.
