Dedicated to all the athletes that struggle with injuries and mental health.

It all started when Emma was 5-years-old. It was her first time touching a soccer ball. She fell in love with the game.

That's my daughter!! Go Emma!
Her parents signed the 5-year-old up to start her soccer journey. She couldn't have been more excited to play her first match, but she was also very nervous. She was so nervous; her whole body was tingling with fear. However, as soon as she stepped on the field, she scored her first goal.

15 years old
Years after year, goal after goal, game after game, it was finally time to move up to the big leagues and play travel soccer.

Emma loved it more than anything, getting to travel to different states while also playing the thing she loved most.

Travel soccer wasn't always easy for Emma. There were many ups and downs, but that was life.

OW! My ankle.
There were also many injuries, but she never gave up. She played all throughout elementary school and middle school.

However, it wasn't until high school that things went south.

Emma's first day of highschool soccer. So many unfamiliar faces, but she played the best she had ever played.

Nicely done Emma!
It was a new stage and she made sure to show her talent. The coaches would even come up and talk to her, telling her how impressed they were.

Although, a couple of days later, she had a terrible fall. Looking down at her elbow, she realized that she dislocated it (this means that the elbow wasn’t where it was supposed to be). While she was getting carried away in an ambulance, all she was thinking about was how she would be missing her first high school soccer season.

You dislocated your elbow. 6 weeks of recovery.
Emma went to the doctor and she was right. The recovery was 6 weeks long, she would be missing most of her season.

Emma realized all she could do was work as hard as she could to get back to playing the thing she loved most. She went to so many appointments, whether it was physical therapy or to the doctors. She was doing well and even got back before 6 weeks.

Go Emma!!
Yay! Emma scored!
It was finally time. Emma’s first high school game. She wore this huge elbow brace that covered her whole arm. She played and played. To her surprise, she scored her first goal. She couldn’t believe it, after 6 long weeks she finally was back, but not for long.

Club Soccer

This way
High school soccer came to an end and overall it was a successful season, but now it was time for club soccer. Emma loved club soccer more than anything, including her team.

Emma, I don't think you should go to this game.
Mom, I will be fine.
