CONTEXT

What you need

Keeping Koi fish healthy and happy depends on you.  Here is some things you need to give your fish a happy long life.

 1. Fish tank or pond. ( You can use a container with lid too)

 2. Fish food 

3. Water filter

4. pebbles for the bottom of the tank

To get ready before the fish arrive, you must set up their home. Put the tank in an area where it can't be knocked down, then, fill it with water.  Finally you can place the water filter. Now you can add things like tunnels and caves but you don't have to do it.

If you want to put them in a pond, it will be harder work but it will be worth it. Start by placing the pond where you want it to be. After that, you can start by placing a plastic or metal box (A Coca Cola box can work) with openings for fish to go in and out and will give fishes a chance to go inside in case an owl or a hawk comes by. Place a fountain for fishes to get fresh water and a water filter to make it a clean home.

Finally, Place water in it. you can place water flowers to make look cute, but I don't think it will look cute after the roots make it's home in the pond. Turn on the fountain and water filter and now you can bring your Koi fish home.

Welcome Home

You just got your new pets home, so you may want to place them in their pond or tank. Once you get them home so to take them out of the of the transportation box, get a net stick and carefully place them out into there home. Give them food and look at your pretty and happy Koi fish.

Your Koi fish are in their home, eating and happy.... But who doesn't like a snack after eating a good meal? You can throw lettuce, watermelon, worms, sardines, grapefruit, Cherrios, orange and prawns. Your fish can eat them but you should not give them white bread, peas or corn. Anything that is high in carbohydrates your Koi fish will have a hard time digesting.
