Three Religion Project

Once upon a time, there was a man named John. In the morning, he headed out of his home to walk to his office job. John felt like he lived like it was the same day each day. At his job, he worked and worked at his computer until it was time to go home to his small apartment in the busy city. John has no close friends, doesn't talk to his far away parents, and is by himself at home. His only three friends are also faraway and busy with their religion. His first friend, Albert, knew a lot of Buddhism, his second friend, Tom, knew a lot of Hinduism, and his third friend, Will, knew a lot on Islam. His life is very boring, and it is the same thing.

I must do something with my life, John thought, but what can I do? A chance came to John and that was when his three friends of religion met up in another city. John decides to take this chance to go meet and ask them to teach him all about religions, as he wants to find a new goal in life. John met with all of his friends and John asked them, "I am interested in religion, can you guys teach me?" The three friends agreed to teach him about their religion. However, it was a long road, and it would be hard to find John's goal. It is then decided that John will meet each of them to be taught by them and find a new goal in his life.

Kindness!
John was walking on the road and thinking when he saw his friend Albert talking to a man. He hears Albert talking and only hears words that are friendly and kind. John kept hearing the words said by Albert but it was just kindness. Maybe I should be like Albert too, thought John, I should learn from him. John sees Albert greet the man goodbye so John decides to go up to Albert to learn.

John then goes to Albert and was first taught by his friend Albert, who knows much about Buddhism. They went on a walk together with Albert teaching John there. "Albert, how will Buddhism help me in my journey of finding a new goal in life?" asked John. Albert then said to John, "Following the right speech of Buddhism will make you live a life free from worry and bad feelings." "I get it," said John. Albert then said, "Using the right speech of the Eightfold Path is what you need to free yourself. To do this, you must not say lies, you shouldn't use your words to make problems, and you shouldn't tell stories that are not true. Instead, you should be honest, kind, make friends, and make it so that other people get something good out of your words(Roth)."

John thinks about what Albert says. What Albert says is really different from the way he talked before, and what Albert said should be a thing he should start doing. John wants to meet with his friend Tom to learn more about religion because Buddhism was fun to learn about. John then runs to Tom's house to meet with him, so Tom is able to teach him.

Rule of Karma
John then meets up with his friend Tom to get to know more about Hinduism and how it will help him find his goal. John then went to Tom and said, "So, tell me about Hinduism and what makes it so that it will help me find a new goal." Tom then said, "You should find a new goal by following the rule of karma from Hinduism. It is the idea that the things you do will have costs, and it keeps people from doing bad things. If you do things that are good and right, then good things will happen to you, but if you do bad things, then it will bite you back and bad things will happen. It is up to you on what to do as these will affect the next or the life you're living right now. You also must not think of getting something in return so God will be happy with you and you do your goal of good ("Karma")."
