Millie is a teeny, tiny mouse with a personality bigger than an elephant. She has wanted to start dancing for a long time because her friend Ella always talked about how much fun she had when she danced. Her friend is an amazing dancer. Millie wants to try out a dance class, but is really scared.
Millie decides to talk to Ella to hopefully get some tips before starting. Millie was able to learn basic ballet terminology and steps from Ella. She decided that she was ready to go to a dance class. Ella recommended her own studio where her mom was a teacher. Millie decided that was a great idea.
Once Millie gets to the studio, she meets the director Miss Julie, and starts talking about how to join a dance class and things she needs to work on.
First Miss Julie says, "Millie I would like to have a private class with you tomorrow."
"I would love to!" Millie says. Millie goes home and sleeps like a log.
The next day, Millie comes to class ready to go. Miss Julie was very impressed with her. First, she has Millie stretch, and then she showed her a few things that she could work on at home.
"I promise to work very hard and be prepared for class tomorrow!" Millie remarked.
Millie comes to class ready to go with a smile on her face once again. Although she was naturally pretty flexible, she was up most of the night stretching to be prepared for the next day. Miss Julie showed her how to do a leap, but when she tried to do it, she fell to the floor and made a loud She was a little bit embarrassed, but to her teachers surprise, she got right back up and started dancing and prancing.
BOOM!!
After class, Miss Julie caught her at the door and told her she looked like a dancing dandelion in the dazzling daylight. Millie said thank you and continued her way out the door to go home to do more stretching. After a few months, Millie was an outstanding dancer. Miss Julie was so incredibly proud to be her mentor.
