BUDDHISM, CONFUCIANISM, JUDAISM

Once upon a time, a grandson and his grandpa lived together alone. The grandson's name was Micheal, and he was a tall, skinny 19-year-old boy. They lived quite far away from the nearest town, but life was good. Micheal did not have a job, so his grandpa took care of him everyday.

One day, however, Micheal's grandfather called out Micheal to their living room. As Micheal came, his grandpa said "Micheal, because I am getting old, I want you to get a job, so that you can learn to take care of yourself." Micheal was surprised "Yes," said Micheal, "I will get a job." This was going to be Micheal's first time of finding and getting a job, so Micheal knew he needed advice first.

Arriving at the nearest town, Micheal headed out to the busy streets, where he saw many cool things being sold. Micheal wanted to ask for advice about working in a job but he was afraid, until he saw a person he knew who was working by one of the market stands.

As Micheal walked closer to the person, he knew that it was his uncle, Jerry. Jerry also saw him. Looking at each other face to face, they gave each other handshakes. "Uncle," begged Micheal, "I am trying to get a job, but I need your advice about how I can treat other people well first." Jerry was thinking for a while before giving an answer. "You need to show off the idea of Jen from Confucianism,(Stefon)." answered Jerry, " It is an idea about how you can act best as a person toward other people(Stefon)." Micheal was focused. "To show off the power of Jen," added Jerry, "you need to be kind person to everyone through your actions(Stefon)." Micheal nodded to Jerry, thanking him before leaving for more advice.

As Micheal explored the town, he saw a group of kids huddled around a teacher outside of a school. The children were listening to the teacher's ideas about Judaism. Micheal, thinking that it could help him get a job, joined the crowd.

"In Judaism ," said the teacher "There is a meaning in justice (Smith 189)." The children were silent. "That meaning is to respect and protect everyone, as they were created by God, (Justice, Justice - Reconstructing Judaism)." added the teacher, "In order to go after this meaning, a person must follow their task of doing Tzedakah, or good and fair actions, which leaves room for them to become a Tzaddik(Justice, Justice - Reconstructing Judaism)." A child raised their hand, asking, "What is a Tzaddik?" The teacher then said, "A Tzaddik uses and teaches the right action to other people(Justice, Justice - Reconstructing Judaism)." After the teacher was done, the children immediately went out to play. Micheal went to the teacher and thanked him. Micheal felt that he now had enough advice.

Micheal finally decided to find work at a supermarket after he thought about his grandfather's advice. However, as he arrived, he spotted an old lady who had been pushed down by a teenager. Even though he did not have to help, Micheal remembered the teacher's advice, quickly scaring the teenager away and helping the old lady up.
