

Chapter 1: Revolution Begins
The assembly to start the war was made up of three estates. They were the clergy, nobility, and commoners.
Voting by head was when each representative got a vote. Voting by order was when each estate got a vote.
The National Assembly was created by the commoners (Third Estate) in 1789.
The third estate made the Tennis Court Oath which stated that they would not stop until a constitution was signed.
Chapter 2: The People Take Charge
The Bastille was a prison in France in 1789. Looking back it is a great example of what France was like and what they represented.
The Palace of Versailles was the where the King lived during the French Revolution.
A famine in 1774 led to rising bread prices. This caused riots to break out which was a reason of the French Revolution.
The Great Fear was a period of time where panic took over France.
Chapter 3: Taking On The World
The Constitution of 1791 was the first constitution of France. It made France a constitutional monarchy.
France would be lead by a King.
All churches in France before 1905 belonged to the state.
France declared war on Austria and Prussia in 1792. France won both of these wars.
Chapter 4: The King Must Go
The King and Queen fled during the war. They wanted to have better protection and freedom. This did not turn out well in the end.
The National Convention was created during the worst part of the French Revolution. It was made to design a new constitution.
A San Culotte was a member of the working class in France. They were a large part of this war.
Chapter 5: Desperate Measures
The Committee of Public Safety was a part of the National Convention.
The Guillotine became the main source of death in the French Revolution.
Maximillan Robespierre was a lawyer in France during the revolution. He wanted to create a unified France
The Reign of Terror was a time period of France where there were many deaths and battles.
Chapter 6: We've Had Enough!
The Thermadorian Reaction was triggered by a vote to excecute Maximillan Robespierre.
Robespierre was arrested on July 27, 1794. He was then killed the next day.
The end of terror started the day that Robespierre was arrested, July 27, 1794.
Chapter 7: We need a hero
Napoleon was the first ruler of France following the French Revolution. He was a good ruler. He is one of the most succesful rulers of France

The effects of the French Revolution were huge. There were many new developments including the fall of the monarchy. There were changes in the society. However, the Revolution did not make France a democracy.
