Once upon a time, there was a girl called Esmeralda she lived in a beautiful state called Texas, where summers were lovely. She loved going outside to play hide-seek or go for a swim. Wherever she went she loved to meet new people. She was so sweet and friendly with everyone.

One afternoon Esmeralda noticed a girl named Mayra all alone at school. The girl looked sad and scared. Esmeralda felt bad and wanted her to feel better. So she went up to her and introduced herself and asked her if she wanted to be friends.

As days passed they became very good friends but Esmeralda was concerned about why would Mayra always sat alone wherever she went if Esmeralda was not with her. Until one day when Esmerlada came late for her music class, she saw that many of her classmates were calling her names and laughing at her for no reason.

Esmeralda was furious and sad at what her eyes were seeing. She stood up and defended Mayra from their classmates. " You should be ashamed of yourselves there is no reason to treat others this way, there shouldn't be this kind of behavior towards each other we have to show respect and be kind," she stated.

Esmeralda thinks that no one else should be bullied as Mayra did. So she came up with a brilliant idea! " I will start with an anti-bully group!" she thought excitedly. Esmeralda talked with Ms. Vasquez about helping Mayra and other students in the same situation and showing bullies to be kind and respectful to others.

I want to help Mayra.

Ms.Vasquez thought that was a wonderful idea and started working with Esmeralda. They started with meetings in the lunch room and making posters and shirts that said "Spread love and always look to make new friends." So that school will be illuminated.
