There are things you must do to become a Christian and grow in faith. It may be by learning who God is and what he does for us. Or it could be about confession or being humbled when in God's presence. 

But perhaps the most crucial part in becoming a Christian is truly believing that Jesus Christ made the ultimate sacrifice to take on God's wrath for us.

We become followers of Christ when we confess with our mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord. This is one of the crucial steps in becoming a Christian.

"because if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9)

By reading your Bible can help you get closer and build a relationship with God. You can find wisdom on how to do good things in the Bible. It will also help you understand his word more. 

"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work" (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

We should also practice reading the Bible frequently. Reading the Bible can give you so much on how to strengthen your relationship with God and how to find His true joy.

Talk with friends about God and the Bible. This is also a great way of getting closer to God and to get closer to your friends. Praying is also a very good way of obtaining a close relationship with God, because it is a direct way of communication with God.

It can help you mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. Some people even have Bible study groups on Tuesday, or Wednesday. It's just like a group of friends discussing how great God is and how much he has done for us. 

The family and friends at church are also a great way of building a stronger relationship with God. By going to church we are getting a sermon from the preacher who studies the Bible everyday and can help us understand Gods love and passion for us. 

The preacher is there to help guide us and help teach us about the Bible. But the point is there's nothing like learning, and seeking out God with family and friends.
