Note: This book was released the day of Halloween!
It was a normal day and Lilly was in her room, resting, when she got an urgent phone call. Lilly picked it up and answered.
"Hello?"
"Hi. Who is this?"
"Noah,"
"Hi Noah. Is this an emergency?"
"Um,yes. I-its an emergency!"
"Oh no. O-of course sir! We'll be right there! Where are you?"
"8th Brook Lane"
"Okay!"
Lilly ran to her sister's room to tell her what had just happened. Nyla's eyes were huge. She started to jump up and down. "Finally, something interesting is happening!"
"interesting or not, we have to go. So hurry up!" Lilly told her sis. The two girl ran down stairs as fast as they could.
"Mom! We're going out!" Lilly told her mother.
"Really? You two hardly ever spend time together-"
The pair didn't stop to listen. Out the door they went. Huge smiles pasted on their faces.
"We're getting so close to cracking this riddle!"
When they arrived they saw a boy, whom they believed was Noah.
"Hi!" Lilly said, catching her breath. "You need... our... help?"
Noah looked surprised when he saw Nyla. "Aren't you a bit small to do this?"
Nyla exploded. "YOU THING I'M SMALL?! LOOK AT YOURSELF! FELL OF A TREE BECAUSE YOU WANTED TO LOOK COOL?!! NOT EVEN A FOOL WOULD DO THAT! Actually maybe they would... YOU ARE SO GROSS!!!!"
Noah, offended, started to argue with her. "Well maybe if girls wanna look so strong they should stop playing tea parties!"
"Guys, guys stop! We need to focus on the main task!" Lilly tried to calm the two kids down.
"My only task is to beat him in this roast battle!" Nyla yelled.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize there was a roast competition happening! Should I be handing out medals for that level of rudeness?!" Noah yelled mockingly.
"Alright, alright," Lilly said. She pushed the pair apart. "Just show us where the emergency is, Noah."
Noah angrily led them to the door he had found. "Here it is," he sighed.
Lilly and the group (still arguing) crawled into the tunnel.
"I can't see!" Nyla cried.
"Don't worry," Lilly reassured her. 'It's going to be just fine." Just at that moment, they saw a light. They crawled faster and faster until, they reached the end of the tunnel. Before their eyes lay the same beautiful forest that Noah had seen. It was full of magic and greenery. There were tall, majestic pine trees at every turn. Bird chirped and Peeped. It was a wondrous sight. But all the magic stopped when they heard cackling and screaming beyond the forest.
"Over there!" Lilly cried. The team ran as fast as they
