Enzyme Apartment

was a prosperous apartment.

Never would have anyone thought that it was swept by a fire years ago.

Every units of the apartment such as amylase, protease, lipase, lactase were ruined beyond repair.

Every apartment unit, including amylase, protease, lipase and lactase was ruined beyond repair.

It might be costly. Since the keys are still okay, replacing them as well would be unnecessary.

Oh no! The locks are completely ruined! I need to replace them.

The intense heat of the fire caused the locks , known as enzymes , to denature, rendering them unfit for their own keys.

Viewing this situation, the owner of Enzyme Apartment decided to replace all the locks:

However, he did so without replacing the old keys:

After the new locks were added to each apartment unit, the owner tried unlocking them with their old keys.

After various attempts, he realized that the old keys were no longer fit for the new locks.

However, the locks 

could not be opened..

"Oh boy! Should've realized sooner that these new locks will need their own keys."

Therefore, he proceeded by preparing compatible new keys for the new locks before opening the apartment to its future residents.

What was I thinking, trying to open them with the old keys that aren't even fit for them?

After all the new keys were prepared, Enzyme Apartment finally opened its doors to its new residents.

2 years later, Enzyme Apartment flourished into a luxurious apartment inhabited by many residents.

However, evil thieves are paying visits to the residents' homes at alarming rates.

Enzyme Protease: How could this happen? Isn't Protein my only type?

Enzyme Lipase: Where did my Fats go?

Enzyme Lactase: All my life I thought that I'm only Lactose tolerant.

After numerous complaints from residents, the police started conducting investigations to unfold the scheme and culprits behind this series of robberies, which led to the discovery that the crimes were committed using duplicate keys called Competitive Inhibitors (CI). The thieves' identities were also exposed.
