This book is dedicated to the doubters who said it couldn’t be finished in time.
"Thanks to the doubters—without you, the believers wouldn't have a reason to celebrate."
—Leo Chan

I can't wait to learn today!

In the busy town of Willowbrook, there was a small, vibrant school where children gathered to learn about the world and how to navigate it. Among the students was Charles, a confident boy who believed in following the rules to the letter.

Charles was known as the "Rulebook King." He often said, "Rules keep us safe." Some of his classmates agreed, but some, like Maya, thought he could be a bit too rigid. Maya was a free spirit, always curious and compassionate. Then there was Jake, who was playful and sometimes acted without thinking.

Look here!

One sunny afternoon during recess, Jake found a basket of sandwiches near the playground. Excited, he called his friends over. "Look what I found!" he said, grinning.

We have to report this.

Ahh

Charles stepped forward, his eyes serious. "The school rule says we must report lost items to the office immediately," he declared. "We should take them to Mr. Shyamalan."

What if someone left them here for a little bit?

Yea!

"But what if someone needs them?" Maya asked gently. "Maybe they're not lost. Maybe someone left them here for a reason."

Rules are rules!

Wait! Those are my sandwiches!

Charles crossed his arms. "Rules are rules, Maya. If we don’t follow them, things can get messy."
Before they could decide, a small boy named Noah approached them, looking anxious. "Excuse me," Noah said quietly. "Those sandwiches are for my sister. She’s in the hospital, and these are her favorite. I left them here while I went to get her favorite juice."

Oh

It's ok Charles

Charles’s eyes widened. "Oh," he said, hesitating. "But the rule..."
Maya stepped closer to Noah. "We understand, Noah. Charles, sometimes doing the right thing means thinking about others, not just the rules."

Here you go
Charles looked at the sandwiches, then at Noah. The rule said to report the sandwiches, but Noah’s sister needed them. Slowly, he nodded. "Noah, you can take the sandwiches to your sister. We’ll explain everything to Mr. Shymalan."
