This book is done from the perspective of China, when the Europeans were dividing up its land for their spheres of influence.

The place that we call home
The Europeans took our freedom
And left us all to roam
They forced us to buy their products,
taking all our spices and pride
We wished to be free from them
And started the Boxer Rebellion fight
We were oppressed, defeated, gone
Until we fought to be free once again

is for Asia

is for Boxer Rebellion
The glorious, great revolt
We ultimately failed
But we got some hits in

is for China

The greatest country in the world
We were unfairly attacked by the British
And forced to buy their goods
We bought all their opium
And gave them our spices
We didn't want this at all
and they won't let us raise our prices
We are the Chinese, great, proud, strong
But we become weak, for the British are stronger.

is for Diaspora

The mass immigrations
All to better places
We sought good work, but we were refused
We tried to work in America, on the railroads and fields
We were forced to turn back
Because of the Chinese Immigration Act
And those who did make it, were treated bad.

is for English

Who conquered much of Asia
They want us to buy their drugs
And won't give anything in return
They take all our goods
Including spices and others
They are our main antagonizors
And we wished to stop their trade
We fought to stop Opium
But we ultimately failed
We slowly grew much weaker
While the British grew strong

is for France

Who trades with some of China
They own much of Vietnam
And Laos, and Siam.

is for Goods

Which Europe greatly wants
They don't hesitate to get what they want
But not what they deserve
They wish to oppress us all
And make us buy their drugs
We wish to not do that
But they have oppressed our rising up.
is for Humanitarianism

One reason Europe came to us
They wished to save us from poverty and sin
But they failed because of Opium

is for India

That land to the West
Britain took it over
and forced them to make our opium

is for Japan

Traitors of the East
They took all of Korea just because they could
And they wanted China too

is for Korea

Taken over by Japan
They just wanted to be left alone
But no one would let them.

is for Letters

We've sent many to the English, asking them to leave
But they want lots of stuff
And will not leave
is for Meiji

The impressive Japanese Restoration
They very quickly industrialized
And rapidly became a world power
They threw of their oppressive government
And they used the right way; the Emperor
They took over poor Korea
While we were taken over by Europe.
is for New Imperialism

The type that we were conquered by
The Europeans pretended to be trading
But they were really gaining land
is for Opium

Brought here by the outsiders
Looking to sell these drugs to us
And to make us weak and bitter
We fought one time, against these drugs
The British fired their guns
Our war lost, our people gone
Under the Influence, forever.
is for Prices

Europeans charge whatever they want
They sell us their Opium
At a very high cost
They buy our goods for cheap
And they oppress us with drugs
But we will take our liberty back
Once and for all
