oh hi there im spot! well I don't really have a name but I call myself spot. im a bowling ball. all the other bowling balls are pink or blue! but i'm black with lots of scratches. you may be thinking, "oh scratches a LOT of people must have used him." actually, no one used me. I was found on the side of the road. some cars were even hitting me! At least i'm safe here. I mean no one uses me, I just sit on this shelf. but, thankfully I have a friend who sits with me. spot jr. He never gets picked too. He is younger than me so when his mom and brothers get used I watch him. At least I have 1 friend and he gives me something to do rather than just sitting on this shelf.

spot jr.
me/spot
sometimes I think I should sneak out. yup! but it's going to be hard because if I roll around on the floor, someone is just going to pick me up and put me on a shelf. I had to try it, though. I rolled off the shelf making another dent on my body. then a little girl said ''oh we need to put you back on a shelf''! so just like that I was placed on a shelf. not only a shelf, the one separated from spot jr. what was I going to do! I decided to roll off the shelf 100 times and wait for someone to pick me up and put me on the shelf with spot jr. ! finally it worked, but I had 1,000 scratches and dents. I was so tired.

sometimes I wished I could be like everyone else. cool and used. I mean I'm definitely not cool and the last time I got used was 10 years ago by a little. boy. but, after 5 minutes he said ''this bowling ball isn't a good luck charm"! and just like that he put me back were he found me. instead, he picked up a blue one wearing sunglasses. today something caught my eye! it was a purple bowling ball with long eyelashes and well I thought she was beautiful. she even had pointy sunglasses. she had NO scratches or dents, she was just shiny. she was perfect. I wanted to go talk to her but I was nervous. what if she makes fun of me or even worse what if the cool guys make fun of me?

I decided to trust my instincts and go talk to her. before I could, a teenage girl picked her up to use her. so I waited all night until everyone was gone and asleep. I said to her ''oh hi I'm spot what's your name''? ''I'm Lucy'. it's nice to meet you spot." then, I went back to sleep. that night I felt so happy. when I woke up the birds were chirping and I thought I was going to have the best day ever! spot jr. was SO excited he even rolled off the shelf! I think he has more dents than me!

It's OK To Be Different
I wrote this book about a bowling ball who goes through a LOT of drama. This story takes place at a bowling alley. The main character is a bowling ball named Spot who is black and has a lot of scratches. ALL of the other bowling balls are rainbow, green or orange. Spot lost his best friend and now he lost his girlfriend but can he make friends if he's different? read the story "It's OK To Be Different" to find out!
