Gingerbread House Party

 On December 17th, 2023 my best friend’s mom invited me to a spectacular gingerbread house party. When my mom dropped me off at 3:00 clock, Halo, my best friend came running to me. We hadn’t seen each other in a long time so we were both happy to see each other. 

I said bye to my mom and we helped her mum Aunty Celeste prepare food and drinks for the guests. When we were finished helping, Halo changed while I waited for her. While I was waiting for her, Halo's cousins and my friend Triston came to the party. 

Halo came downstairs a few  minutes later after everyone had arrived. 

We all sat down in the kitchen separated into two groups, one was for the gingerbread house and one was for the decorating. Triston, Meekah and I were in the decorating team. We decorated all the cookies. There were Christmas trees, snowflakes, a gingerbread man and a sock. We were happy with our little task. 

Next, we all played the Santa truck race and Halo was third, I was second and Triston was first. It was a really fun race so Halo  and I did two more rounds because we loved it so much. I won the first and she won the second.. We then did musical candy canes. I know you may all be wondering what  is musical candy canes. 

Musical candy canes are similar to musical chairs but instead candy canes are put on a table and you run around then when the music stops you grab a candy cane. We did two fun rounds . Finally we settled down and watched 'Among Us' while we waited for the pizza.

• The pizza arrived and we all gobbled the hot delicious pizza and watched some more Among Us . Before I knew it was time to leave, my mom came and took me home. That was the best gingerbread house party ever!

My Best friend 

My best friend is kind and loving. She likes to dance and play. Halo Hinds is her name, she is nine years old and lives with her sister, mother and dad, a nuclear family. She is a Christian like me, but she goes to church on Sunday, not Saturday as I do. She doesn't attend Marian Academy, she  attends New Guyana School.

Her height is as high as my counter in the kitchen and her complexion looks like chocolate. Her eyes are black, loving and caring . She has tight curly hair and she loves to put bows on it.  She also loves to wear anything with polka dots. Her favorite song is, 'Run the world (girls)', we dance and sing when it is playing. Pop tart, macaroni and sprinkles are snacks she likes and in her free time, she likes to play with her toys. Halo is my best friend  because we have so much in common.
