The Computer is divided into Hardware and Software. Computer hardware refers to the actual parts of a computer. These are the essential electronic devices used to develop the computer. Examples of computer hardware- motherboard, memory devices, printer, keyboard, mouse, monitor and the Central Processing Unit.
Explain what is Hardware and Software?
While, Computer software examples include operating systems, which allow for easy use of a computer's processing power, as well as applications like Notepad and Firefox. Software can be physically stored on the hard drive or at another location such as a USB drive, or it can be cloud-based and hosted over the internet.
ROM (Read-only Memory) is a type of computer storage containing non-volatile, permanent data that normally can only be read, not written to.
RAM is a common computing acronym that stands for random-access memory. Sometimes it's called PC memory or just memory. In essence, RAM is your computer or laptop's short-term memory. It's where the data is stored that your computer processor needs to run your applications and open your files.
Units of Memory
Memory units are standardized measurements used to quantify data storage capacity. The smallest unit is the bit, representing a binary value of 0 or 1. A group of eight bits forms a byte. Memory capacity increases in powers of 1024; thus, a kilobyte (KB) consists of 1024 bytes, a megabyte (MB) contains 1024 kilobytes, and a gigabyte (GB) is made up of 1024 megabytes. This pattern continues with terabytes (TB), petabytes (PB), facilitating the measurement of both small and large data sizes in computing
What is a CPU?
The Central Processing Unit (CPU) is the primary component of a computer that performs most of the processing inside. Often referred to as the "brain" of the computer, it carries out instructions from both hardware and software, enabling the system to function effectively
