Chapter 1. The plan
"Lily, Lily, wake up were almost there," my dad said to me.
I looked over, and my brother Jordan was looking out the window.
"I heard the Egyptians used to mummify crocodiles to warship the crocodile God," my mom replied.
I looked to my right, and I saw the Great Spinx of Giza!
"Alright we're here!" my dad said eagerly.
"Already?! It's only been like a few minutes!" I said while stretching.
"That's because you fell asleep for almost 3 hours, I almost fell asleep too." My dad stretched.
"Yea, that wouldn't have been good." I shook my head.
Everyone got out of the car, and walked up to a lady.
"Are you our tour guide?" my dad curiously asked.
"Yes, I am your tour guide, and I will be showing you the Pyramid of Giza."
"Are we going to see the inside of the pyramid?" Jordan asked.
"No, you're not going to see the inside."
"Aw man, that stinks!" Jordan replied.
"Hey Lily, we should sneak in," Jordan whispered to me.
"What! Are insane! We can't sneak in! We can get arrested for that!" Luckily, I didn't say that loudly or else we would have been arrested.
Chapter 2. The Break In
We were heading towards the entrance way, when my eye caught two statues. One was a mummy and the other a map.
"Excuse me ma'am, what are those statues?" I asked in curiosity.
"Oh, well the mummy is said to be the protector of the pyramids, and the map has riddles to show where the secret treasure is."
"Did you hear that Lily? There's a treasure that we can find!" Jordan continued.
"yeah, but there's also a mummy!"
"Do you really think the mummy is real?" Jordan asked.
"Do you think the treasure is real?" I replied.
"Yeah," Jordan answered.
"Then I'm not going in." I shrugged.
"Then I guess you don't want my ultra rare Charizard." Jordan shrugged back.
"Fine! Lets just get it done and over with!"
"Alright Lily, are you ready?"
"Yeah, I'm ready," I replied.
"Ok, mom and dad are busy talking to the lady, so
lets go!" Jordan declared.
Jordan and I snuck into the pyramid of Giza, and man it looked old in there.
"Wow," Jordan said in surprise.
"Man, it stinks in here!" I squinted.
"You're just looking at the down side Lily."
"Lets just find the treasure and get out of here," I said.
"Wait a minute, how are we going to find the treasure Jordan?"
"I took a picture of the riddles on my camera." Jordan seemed confident.
"Nice thinking Jordan, now we can definitely find it!"
"What does the first riddle say?" I asked.
"It says, "If you seek what you seek, then it might just be under your nose."
"What kind of clue is that?" I asked.
"I don't know, but maybe it has something to do with those statues over there."
"Maybe you're right Jordan! Lets try searching them."
We searched every statue, and we found nothing. It was starting to feel hopeless. Suddenly, Jordan had a thought.
"The riddle said, right under your nose!" Jordan stuck his finger up one of the statue's nose, and pulled out a key!
Chapter 3. You can run but you can't hide
"You're a genius Jordan!"
"Thank you, but we need to find where the key belongs."
"You're right, we need to find the key slot."
"I got it!" Jordan said in excitement. "Maybe it's another riddle!"
"Maybe, lets check the next riddle!"
"It says, "take your left if you're right, but don't wake the protector if you might."
"Ok, we just need to take a left," I said.
"But not quite," Jordan replied. "I think the protector is the mummy!" "but I thought you said the mummy wasn't real?!" I added. "Ok, so maybe the mummy is real, but we still need to find the treasure."
Jordan and I took a left, and stumbled into a new hallway, "Alright Jordan, we have to be quiet." Jordan and I almost made it to the end of the hallway, when I tripped, and made a big, loud, bang on the floor! Suddenly we heard a bunch of wind. "Oh no!" Jordan yelled. "Lets get out of here!" I said. Jordan and I ran all the way to the end of the hallway, when we found a lock! "Hurry up, and put the key in Jordan!" I'm working on it!" he yelled back. Suddenly, the door opened! Jordan and I ran into the room. Then, suddenly the door shut behind us!
You must leave now ! "What was that?!" I nervously asked. "I don't know Lily, the only thing I know is we're trapped!" Jordan yelled. "No we're not," I said. "Maybe it's just another riddle!" "you're right Lily!" Jordan, and I took out the riddle on the camera, and it said, If you're trapped, always look forward never back. "That's not a riddle," I said. "Yeah it is!" Jordan replied. "Maybe it's like the first riddle, don't look back look forward!" "Now it makes sense Jordan!" "Maybe there's a secret button some where on the wall in front of us," I added.
Chapter 4. Three strikes
Jordan and I pushed our hands on the wall. Then suddenly, a trapdoor opened on the wall! "Yes!!" Jordan yelled. "Alright, lets go!" I said while running. Jordan and I walked about half way down the hallway, when I stepped on a pressure plate! "A booby trap!" I yelled. Right before arrows shot at me, Jordan pushed me out of the way!
