Chapter 1. lost from sight
Hi, my name is Jordan, and it was about 4 years ago when my sister and I defeated the mummy, aka the protector of Giza. Now, I'm on a mission to eat this delicious cheese burger, from Burger King.
"Man, these chicken nuggets are good!" Lily said while licking her lips. If you didn't know already, Lily is my sister, and she's been acting a little weird since she claimed to have seen a mysterious man, creepily standing outside our house. But lets just get on with the story.
We all finished our meal, and we walked out of burger king with a full stomach. We all got in our red Toyota, and in no time we were on the road, heading to Dry Set Valley for their annual Carnival.
"Are we there yet?" Lily slouched.
"Yes, we're almost there, just a few more minutes," my dad said while looking at the GPS. Suddenly, I saw my dad's eyes widen, and his face got as pale as snow.
"What's the matter?" My mom scratched her head.
"I don't know, the GPS is going up and down!" My dad said with eagerness. We all looked out our windows, and realized we weren't in Dry Set Valley anymore!
"Where are we?" I asked. Right in front of us was a sign that said Death Valley.
"Well, that's one way to put it. We're going to die here!" Lily said.
"No we're not! It's probably just a joke," Dad replied.
It felt like hours of driving in the same dry, hot desert, of Death Valley.
"We've got to be close to some sort of life!" My mom sighed. Eventually, we found a big post board that said, "This way to The City of Fears, where nightmares come true!"
"What's the City of Fears?" I asked.
"It's a carnival with scary games, instead normal games, which makes it more fun!" Lily replied.
"Can we go there mom!?" I urged. My mom looked at my dad, and my dad looked back at her.
"Sure, lets go!" My mom smiled.
"yes!" Lily said with excitement.
We took a right, then a left, until we eventually made it to the City of Fears
"Here we are," my dad said as we parked. We all walked up to the front desk. We rang the bell, and a worker in a mummy costume walked up to the window, and said "welcome to the City of Fears!"
"Oh great, it just has to be a mummy!" Lily flared her arms.
"How much do four tickets cost?" my mom asked.
"For being our first visitors, you guys can come in for free," the mummy explained.
"Wait a minute, nobody has visited you guys before!?" my dad asked.
"Well, we just opened for the year," the mummy said.
"I guess that makes sense," my dad said while taking the tickets.
"Who can argue with free tickets!" My mom shrugged."Thank you!"
"Enjoy your time, while you have it!" The mummy laughed. We all walked in, and everything looked so scary! I looked around, and I saw all my fears! The Deep Trench, the Maze of Fears, and the Infinite Drop!
"Alright kids, your father an I are going to find a worker, to ask for directions while you two go and have fun on a few rides."
"Okay," I replied.
Mom and dad walked up to a worker that looked like a ghost.
"Where should we go first?" Lily asked.
"Lets try the Infinite Drop," I said with a smile.
Chapter 2. The Infinite Drop
Mike and I ran up to the Infinite Drop. When we got to it, we realized instead of stairs, there was an elevator! The Infinite Drop was a giant slide that just dropped you down! But anyways, Lily and I made it to the top, when a worker in a zombie costume greeted us.
"Welcome to the Infinite Drop, where you never stop dropping!" The worker laughed.
I looked past the worker, and there were two tunnels.
"Choose wisely, as it might be your last." The worker grinned.
"Which one do you want?" I asked Lily.
"I call the one on the right!" Lily pointed.
"Wise choice," the worker said.
I sat down on the left tunnel, while Lily sat down on the right one.
"3...2...1," the worker shouted while pulling a lever.
At that moment, a gust of wind was pulling me down the tunnel like a vacuum! In no time, I was sliding down the tunnel like it was nothing!
In about 30 seconds of dropping, I started to get dizzy. But right before I blacked out, I saw day light. I got up and I was on the other side of the tunnel, but when I looked to my right, Lily wasn't there!
"Lily!" I shouted. But nobody answered!
I sat there for a few minutes waiting for Lily to come out of the tunnel. Then, I heard something coming trough the tunnel! Instead of seeing Lily, I saw a box with a piece of paper on it. I picked up the peace of paper and read it. It said, "If you want your sister back, you need to complete all the riddles. Oh, and if you break any of the four rules, we will come for you!"
"Well that was over dramatic," I said in my head.
I ripped open the box, and there was another piece of paper. It said, "The four rules are... no running, no laughing, no feeding the animals, and no cheating! "
I looked on the back of the paper, and it said, "The first riddle is in The Deep Trench!"
Chapter 3. stranded
"Oh no," I said out loud. I walked up to The Deep Trench, and a Worker in a vampire costume greeted me, like how the other worker did.
"Welcome to The Deep Trench, where your fears come true!" The worker turned around and pressed a button. Suddenly, a little boat appeared out of the steamy water.
"Hop in," the worker said.
I stepped one foot in, and then the other, until I was fully in the boat. Then, I was sailing through a lake of steam. There was so much steam, that I couldn't even see my own hands!
Eventually, the steam went away, and I was in a giant lake. The lake was so big, that I thought it was an ocean! Seriously, it was huge! I couldn't even see the end of it! But when I looked at the water, I saw just how deep it was. The deep part was pitch black!
I sat there rowing, for what felt like 10 minutes, and worst of all, the boat didn't even move an inch! Suddenly, it felt like the waves started to get bigger and bigger. I then saw tentacles come out of the water! I looked down and saw just how big the tentacles were! The tentacles grabbed the boat, lifted it up, and started shaking it, until I fell out!
It felt like I was falling in slow motion, until I finally touched the water and fainted. When I woke up, I was on a beach. Right next to me was a note that said, "If you look at me, you will see your self. But don't get lost, or you will be on the shelf!
"How am supposed to figure that out?" I asked myself. Suddenly, everything around me turned black, and I was back at the carnival right out side of The Deep Trench!
