Acknowledgments
I would like to take a moment to express my gratitude to Dr. Smith and Dr. Barbara. You are both incredibly dedicated teachers, and I’ve learned so much valuable knowledge in your classes. I hope that one day I can become a teacher like you—someone who is truly appreciated and loved by their students.

Scavenger hunt game

Electricity Teaching Tools

In this activity, I learned how to explore electronics and basic programming in a hands-on, interactive way. Using tools like Snap Circuits, paper circuits, Makey Makey, and Tech Will Save Us kits, I gained a better understanding of basic circuit concepts and saw how technology and creativity can work together. I especially enjoyed working with paper circuits—they showed how simple materials can effectively and engagingly teach fundamental electrical concepts. This experience helped me recognize the potential of STEM tools to spark curiosity and help students learn through hands-on exploration.

This visit to KNOX MAKERS gave me a deeper understanding of how makerspaces operate and their potential to foster innovation and interdisciplinary learning. I saw a variety of advanced tools and equipment, such as 3D printers, laser cutters, and electronics workstations, and learned how they’re used in real-world projects. Talking with makers on site helped me realize the importance of hands-on practice, trial and error, and collaboration in maker education. The visit not only broadened my perspective on STEM education but also inspired me to think about how similar resources and ideas could be brought into the classroom to spark students’ creativity and problem-solving skills.

3D Print Project
During the 3D printing process, I learned how to operate the 3D printer, understand its structure, and choose the right materials for printing. When creating models, I had to consider the structure and dimensions to ensure the print would go smoothly. Selecting the right materials and adjusting print settings were also crucial. Throughout the printing process, I faced challenges like failures and incompatible models, which helped me realize the importance of design and technical adjustments. These challenges not only improved my technical skills but also gave me a clearer understanding of how 3D printing can be applied in education to spark creativity and hands-on skills in students.
