Title: A New Friend
My name is Elif.
I am in the 2nd grade class.
One day, a new student came to the
class. Her name was
Zehra. She was very quiet.
Nobody was talking.
She would be alone then.
.

I went to her and said, “Hi, what is your name?” Zehra smiled. That day, we played together. We had so much fun.
After that, we played every day. Zehra was not alone anymore. She was smiling and happy. I was happy too. Because now, I had a new friend.
Being friends is a beautiful thing!

My name is Mert. I love going to school. I have many friends in my class. Every day, I play with them.
One day, I opened my pencil case. It had colorful pencils inside. Then the teacher said, "Let's draw a picture!" Everyone took out their pencils.
But Ayşe was crying. I went to her.
"What's wrong, Ayşe?" I asked.
"I forgot my pencil case at home," she said.

I Shared My Pencil
Some children laughed. They said, "How will you draw without pencils?" Ayşe was very upset.
I gave her my pencil case. "You can use my pencils," I said.
Ayşe was very happy. We drew pictures together. We made hearts, flowers and suns. Our picture turned out very beautiful.
The teacher smiled. "Sharing is a very kind thing to do," she said.
Ayşe is now my best friend. Nobody makes fun of
anybody anymore. Everybody helps each other.

At that moment, Elephant Fifi came and said: "Blue, your glasses make you special. The next day, Blue gathered his courage, went to Tiko and said: "I look at my glasses with pride. You should have treated me badly because we are different." Tiko was surprised at first but then he felt ashamed. "I'm sorry Blue," he said. "I didn't mean to hurt you." Empty Seat
One day, a new boy came to our class.
His name was Amir. He was quiet.
He sat alone at the back.
Some kids laughed at him.
They said his English was bad.
I felt sad, but I did not say anything.
At lunch, I saw Amir sitting alone.
I said, “Can I sit here?”
He smiled and said, “Yes.”

We talked slowly.
He liked football, just like me!
We laughed and had fun.
Next day, I asked him to play football.
Some kids said “No,” but I said,
“Everyone can play.”
After that, Amir smiled more.
Now, he has many friends.
And he is my best friend.
