The Politics of Transforming Education in Ecuador:                                                Confrontation and Continuity, 2006-17

This study examines whether a performance-based incentive system for teachers can improve educational outcomes in developing country contexts. Through an experiment in El Salvador, it assessed how performance bonuses impact on student learning and school dynamics.

He study used a randomized experiment assigning schools to treatment and control groups to objectively measure the effect of teacher performance incentives.
