Revenge isn't necessary.
First Lesson, The Middle Way (Buddhism)
Montag leaves the group and finds a quiet corner. As he reads the first book, he learns about “The Middle Way.” This idea helps him understand that life is about balance—not too much pleasure, but also not too much pain. Montag realizes that while he can’t change everything, he can choose to live peacefully, without hurting others. He feels calm and at peace with his new way of living.

I should let the resentment go.
Second Lesson, Love and Forgiveness (Christianity)
As Montag finishes the first book, he opens The Bible and begins reading. He comes across a part that talks about love and forgiveness. It says that love doesn’t hold grudges or get angry, but instead forgives others. Montag starts to think about the people he’s known and wonders if he ever truly understood them. As he reads more, his heart softens, and he begins to let go of the hate he had carried for so long.
