Chapter one
Today was the day Robert Van Cos would go to Aunt Pillie's house for tea and cookies. On days like these, Robert would get excited. For his favorite dessert was cookies, and his favorite drink, was, apple lemon tea. He came at exactly 6:00, and was never early, or late. But he had an hour till he was on the road to his Aunt's. So, he decided to take a swim. He swam farther then he
used to, because he was...well, pleasantly plump. His friends, though would say, down right fat! And that made Robert feel horrible. Ever since his friends said that, he started exercising. So, he grabbed his swim cap, and goggles, and started off for the water.
Chapter Two
SPLASH! Robert jumped into the river. "Oh no! I forgot! Aunt Pillie, will never let me into her house with wet feathers!" Robert made a sound and shook his head back and forth. Then he thought. "Robert, how dumb you are!" He said. "You'll be swimming for less then thirty minutes! Oh Robert you never think." So he kept swimming. But he was now swimming for 25 minutes. Robert was having so much fun, he didn't realize he had
swam so far. Swish swish swish. Robert heard a noise. His eyebrows creased. "Why what was that?" He asked himself. He swam to the noise. Then, his eyes met a little canoe, with a fishing net hanging from it. "Oh no!" He said. "I'll surely be caught if I go any farther." So he swam quite aways back, but he made so much noise swimming, that he didn't notice that the human in the canoe, had got his eye on Robert. The boat slowly crept to the duck, and
once he got near, he flung the net over Robert. Robert quacked, and squirmed as much as he could, but it did nothing.
Chapter Three
Soon enough Robert found himself in the place he hated the most, a net, in a little boat. But the human wasn't next to him thankfully. But then, a big animal came running towards Robert, and sniffed him. "Well well." Said the animal. "Pour thing, you were just swimming peacefully, and all of a sudden a canoe
got you in a net!" "Well, well." Said Robert. "Maybe you should let me out, if you feel sorry." "That is a good idea, I do feel sorry for you, and I knew that it wasn't like I didn't." "Of course of course, you knew that". Said Robert, actually thinking he didn't. "But first, tell me what animal you are." Said Robert. " I am a dog a Retriever, I retrieve balls, I think that's why I am called that." "Hmm, nice name". Said Robert. And taking a deep breath, Robert said, " now
let me out please.
Chapter Four
The dog pulled the net with his teeth off the ground, and Robert scuttled along the boat's deck, and before plopping into the water, he bid a farewell, and thanked the dog for letting him out. Then, plopped into the water. Robert looked at his waterproof watch it was exactly 5:53. "Oh no! I've better hurry to Aunt Pillie's, I've got no time to shower, Oh no!" So Robert hurried on.
