Amalia Sabilla was born in Banjarmasin in 2003. Since childhood, she has loved reading folk tales. Her interest in the world of literature led her to pursue creative writing and children's education.
This book is her debut work, “The Story of Prophet Jacob AS,” and she had the opportunity to create a book about the stories of the prophets to motivate children.
Currently, Amalia is actively pursuing her studies at UIN Anatasari to deepen her teaching knowledge. This book is part of the series “The Journey of Prophet Jacob at Night,” aimed at inspiring children.

“I have been walking for days. I left my homeland because my twin brother, Esau, was angry with me… But I know that God is in control of everything.”
Jacob walked with his staff, his face weary but his eyes still shining.
The night wind blew gently. He sat for a moment on a rock.
Prophet Yakub (thinking):
“Where will life take me? My mother asked me to go to my uncle Laban's house in Haran. Maybe I will build a new life there.”
Yakub falls asleep leaning against a palm tree. He dreams of seeing a ladder reaching from earth to heaven, with angels ascending and descending on it.
A Stirring Dream
A Soft Voice from Heaven
“O Yakub, I am your Lord, the Lord of Abraham and Isaac. The land where you are sleeping, I will give to your descendants. I will be with you wherever you go.”
Yakub awoke with tears in his eyes.
“SubhanAllah… This is not just a dream. Allah has spoken to me. I am not alone.”
He built a small pile of stones as a sign of the sacred place, then prayed.
“Ya Allah, if You guide me, provide me with food and clothing, and allow me to return safely to my father’s house… then You are my Lord, and this place will become a house of worship for You.”
Arrival in Haran
A few weeks later, Jacob arrived in Haran. He saw a group of shepherds near a large well.
Prophet Jacob:
“Assalamualaikum. Do you know Sheikh Laban?”
A Shepherd:
“Wa'alaikumsalam. Of course. That’s his daughter, Rachel, coming to water the sheep!”
