Hi. My name's Scorch. And currently, I'm locked up in a dungeon. But let's get caught up with my situation.
I'm a part of Fire clutch. There are eight clutches: Fire Clutch, Fire dragons; Sky Clutch, Sky dragons; Poison Clutch, Poison and Leaf dragons; Ice Clutch, Ice dragons; Tide Clutch, Water dragons; Storm Clutch, Storm, Thunder, and Lightning dragons; Night Clutch, Moon and Shadow dragons; Sun Clutch, Sun dragons.
Basicaly, there's this academy for all dragons, and my dad, (who, by the way, is the leader of fire clutch) thought that it would be nice to enroll me there.
So now, back to the present. Since I came, there's like this one dragon from Poison clutch who literally resents me for no reason (fine, I copied his test answers and Poison and Fire
clutch dragons have resented each other for forever, but still). And to get revenge, he stole some ancient artifact from the library, and then he blamed it on me!!!! I don't even know what the freak a Tempestiaus Aurellios Amulet is!!! But apparently it's super important, so yup I got sent home, and my dad was NOT happy, and now here I am. Honestly, an overreaction is you ask me.
So now I'm in a dungeon with no-wings, the enemy, guarding
me (whenever we find a no-wing we train them to help us). And unfourtunatly, the door is metal, so fire won't work.
So I'm thinking what to do, when suddenly, a piece of paper slides in from under the door.
I walk over and grab it. Written inside the note is:
Wet metal explodes when heated.
That's all. No name, nothing saying how it's helpfu--
Wait! Wet metal! The door is metal and it's drizzling outside!
A little fire, an explosion, and boom! I'm free!
Take that, metal door!
I walked out and saw a full moon in the sky. I knew that I couldn't go back, so I found a place to hide and waited.
At some point I must have fallen asleep, because the next thing I know, I'm wandering in absolute darkness with a strange voice.
"... after they're gone we can--"
"I know you're there, dragon."
"Trying to listen in?"
"Trying to find us?"
"Well, better luck next time!"
The next thing I know, I'm thrown from the dream and back to the real world.
As the dream faded away, I was left to my thoughts, like, what the heck was that! And why does that voice seem fammiliar? Stuff like that.
After awhile, I decided to move out, to find some better shelter probably. I walked through the forest, thinking about what I would do next.
Little did I know that there was about to be a mysterious twist of fate.
Chapter Two
I soon found myself wandering in the Dreaded Desert of Doom. I know, a lot of d's.
If I remember my map's right, it should be right at the rim of Fire clutch territory, which is also called the Ring of Fire because most of it is surrounded by desert.
As I kept on walking, the sun began to sink under the horizon.
I'd better try and find somewhere to sleep before dark. I thought.
But there wasn't much shelter in the desert. I guess I just have to keep going until the Desert ends.
The sun dipped below the horizon and the desert was cast into shadows as the moon rose in the distance.
The moon rose quickly, casting white light on to the sands of the Dreaded Desert of Doom.
Then I saw something strange.
Is that my dad, with a no-wing!!!! And another Flamewing?
Now, you could imagine I was freaking out. Like, he was talking with the enemy! And something about the Flamewing seemed of.
That's when it hit me.
Silver. Silver scales.
Flamewings never had silver scales. Even bronze or gold scales where rare, but silver? Never before. This dragon wasn't from any of the clutches.
I decided to be nosy and eavesdrop, and I hid behind a sand dune.
bldwng.
"Just give me some more time. I'll find the boy," my dad was saying.
"Good," the not-Flamewing growled, "because you know what will happen if you don't."
I stood there as the not-Flamewing turned and flew away.
I frantically started digging, then commenced to bury myself.
I know, it's weird, but I needed more shelter than a sand dune but it's the desert, so...yeah.
I had to sit still with a mouth full of sand for an entire hour.
At least they won't find me.
All I could think about was that dragon. He wasn't a Flamewing, that's for sure. We don't have silver scales like that. But no other dragon has red scales like that either. And that no-wing was
